In this seven minute video recording, transcribed and translated into Spanish and English, Abran Boyotai, of Toñampare, tells the traditional story of two women. The women go to the river to fish and one of the woman eats fruit that has been thrown into the river by the devil. Later vampire bats descend on the women and suck the blood of the woman who ate the fruit. Eventually they are carried off to a cave in the sky. The careless woman has a gruesome end, but the more thoughtful woman eventually reaches home.
