		En este video de una hora y dos minutos de duración que se transcribe y traduce al español e inglés, un grupo de ancianos wao, líderes y miembros de la comunidad se reúnen para cantar, bailar y realizar una ceremonia de boda tradicional.
		En el 2011, comienza el proyecto colaborativo Waorani entre: el investigador Casey High, de la Universidad Goldsmiths de Londres; la investigadora norteamericana Connie Dickinson; y los jóvenes Waorani Ramón Gaba, Jorge Gaba y Oswando Nenquimo, como documentalistas nativos. La meta del proyecto es registrar prácticas culturales que cubran una amplia gama de tópicos y contextos -desde historias tradicionales y rituales, hasta conversaciones cotidianas de la vida diaria-. Otra meta del proyecto es producir una base de datos con un léxico de al menos 6000 palabras y un bosquejo gramatical de la lengua. El proyecto tiene el financiamiento de Hans Rausing Endangered Language Fund, SOAS, London por tres años.
		In 2011, the collaborative project Waorani started, involving the researcher Casey High, from Goldsmiths University of London, the north American researcher Connie Dickinson, and the young Waorani Ramón Gaba, Jorge Gaba and Oswando Nenquimo as native documentalists. The main objective of the project is to register cultural practices that cover a broad range of topics and contexts, from rituals and traditional stories to daily life conversations. The project also aims at producing a database including a lexicon of at least 6000 words as well as a grammatical outline of the language. The project will receive funding from the Hans Rausing Endangered Language Fund, SOAS, London, for three years.
		In this one hour and two minute long video, transcribed and translated into English and Spanish a group of Wao elders, leaders and community members gather to sing, dance and perform a traditional wedding ceremony in the community of Yawepare. We were invited by Moipa Nihua, a resident of Yawepare and the organizar of this event to come and video tape. The video was taped by Uboye Gaba. In this video the Waorani dance and sing in a traditional manner. The tape begins with the end of a spear throwing contest, and then the people move inside. Unfortunately it was dark within the traditional house, so the quality of the video is very poor. However you can hear the traditional singing. Towards the end of the video they perform a traditional wedding ceremony. Young Waorani are married by the whole community. In this recording it is difficult to see the young couple, but they are seated to the left of the screen surrounded by the Waorani that are singing and marrying the couple. There is also fragments of conversations interpersed with the singing.
		En este video de una hora y dos minutos de duración, transcrito y traducido al inglés y al español, un grupo de ancianos wao, líderes y miembros de la comunidad se reúnen para cantar, bailar y realizar una ceremonia de boda tradicional en la comunidad de Yawepare. Fuimos invitados por Moipa Nihua, residente y líder de Yawepare para venir y grabar en video. El video fue grabado por Uboye Gaba. En este video los waorani bailan y cantan de manera tradicional. La cinta comienza con el final de un concurso de lanzamiento, y luego la gente se mueve hacia adentro.
