Description:		This project is a part of PhD dissertation fieldwork, supported by the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (IGS00166). The dissertation itself will focus on evidentiality in the language, but the documentation aims to encompass as broad a set of linguistic and cultural practices as possible. Most interviews were carried out by native Kichwa researchers, and are therefore monolingual in Kichwa. The topics addressed cover the recent history of the Amazonian Kichwa, folktales, everyday life and ceremonies.
		This could technically be part of mo_01072013, but just to give the corpus more transparency, it can go into another folder. These are traditional tales told by Nelly, both in Kichwa and Spanish. Although the one about the tortoise sounded kind of LaFontaine-ish, it might just as well be a traditional Kichwa narrative. With the one about the boy who was laughing at animals, she was more fluent telling it in Kichwa than in Spanish. Also, she used the creaky voice just as Carmela did when she was telling a story/recounting a past event. This was done in between the monologue sessions - after she made the bracelet, and before she told me her story. Of course it's liegitimate to think she has rehearsed this kind of stories with tourists who have been there before, but than again, this doesn't change much I suppose. Just as in case of mo_01072013, I wasn Nelly's only audience, which means that she probably simiplified what she was saying for my benefit. Although it might be that with tales it's less evident than with other genres. Only _01 and _04 will be transcribed, as the other two videos are of the same tales in Spanish. The recordings were made in the Sinchi Agua Centre, a community tourism centre run by women only near Misahualli.
