Description:In the later afternoon, some Bagyeli men are setting up the drums in the village center of Ngolo where they gather. As the village does not have any electricity and therefore light at night, the documentation team (and the Finnish guests who work at a power plant construction site outside of Kribi) brought a generator and supplies to provide light in the dark. This is not only better for filming the ceremony, but also generally preferred by the Bagyeli. As part of the preparations, the generator is carried from the car into the village. Nadine talks with Mama and asks him for the Gyeli term of the vine he is preparing for attaching the flood light to the Indian almond tree in the village center. The video then shows how Mama climbs into the tree and attaches the heavy lights that Manel is handing him. As the light construction is very heavy, he gets some help from Ngyemba while Nadine and Djiedjhie give advice from under the tree. A second smaller light is set up at the wall of a hut.
