The narrative analyzed here is from the session RG91H-Migration; it was recorded in 1991 with an old Trumai speaker, who is already deceased. He describes how the Trumai people came to live in the Xingu region. The text was narrated in Trumai; it was transcribed and translated into Portuguese with the help of bilingual consultants, and it was analyzed by the researcher. ----- PORTUGUÊS: Análise de um texto sobre a história dos Trumai. | The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||
