TB grew up on Nuku Hiva, but have been living on 'Ua Pou since she turned 17. TB is a fluent bilingual often engaging in French-Marquesan code-switching. In cultural indigenous matters TB was well educated by her father who was born in 1901 and who was very knowledgable about old Marquesan customs, songs, stories etc.. | ||
OM is a very fluent speaker of two Marquesan trick languages ('eo hu'i/ uhi tua and tepeteateu ('eo Hiva 'Oa). OM does not speak French. She originates from Taipivai (Nuku Hiva). | ||
GC is responsable for the Marquesan DOBES project and does all the data collection, data processing and annotation. | ||
