Description:		ENGLISH: Some Trumai men play the flutes called "Takwara". They play and dance at the same time (sometimes making a pause). There are conversations in the background, since the people who were watching the dance talk sometimes. The main purpose of this recording was not to register speech, but music. ----- PORTUGUÊS: Alguns homens Trumai tocam as flautas chamadas de "Taquara". Tocam e dançam ao mesmo tempo (às vezes fazendo uma pausa). Há conversas ao fundo, pois as pessoas que estavam olhando a dança às vezes falam entre si. O principal objetivo desta gravação não era registrar fala, mas música.
		The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc.
		Traditional music played with the long flutes, which are called "Takwara".
		The main element in the recording is the music. There are some conversations in the background. The conversations are carried in Trumai or Portuguese.
		There are various participants in this event. They are members of the Terra Preta village.
		Raquel is a Brazilian linguist. She has been working with the Trumai people since 1989. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, U.S.A).
