| Description: | The session involves a conversation between Ms. Asnaketch Ayssa and research assistant Mr Asmelash Michael about two houses Ms Asnaketch recently built. She explains why the houses needed to be built, how she acquired the land, how labour (for constructing the house) was organized. she also tells about her family and upbringing. Researcher Azeb Amha (not in view) now and then addresses questions to Asnakech. The interview took place in the house of Ms Asnaketch. One of her daughters and two sons were present during the session. Some visitors joined in at different points but with the exception of Asnaketch’s daughter, Amarech Bunkula, these people did not join in the conversation and thus are not included in the list of actors Azeb made the video recording using Panasonic HC-W580 recorder. A parallel audio recording is made using LS audio recorder and archived separately. | |
