Description:The Batō dance – recorded at the Cultural Festival in Nobyul organised by George Ra Bumseng. This dance was traditionally performed when the Batō was opened. The Batō was the traditional schooling system for boys where they would live behind a taboo fence for several months to a year and learned how to become men. There is no-one alive who has been through this system. Saksak Batokon gives a commentary to this dance. File Description: This bundle contains a video of the dance, an audio commentary given by Saksak Batokon after the event and a PDF of the original field notes of the commentary.
