| Description: | This is the sixth session of conversations with Mr Asmamaw Guch'alle. At this point of the recording, we left his back-yard and were walking past a new house which was at completion stage of construction. We looked inside the house. There was 7ársa inside, a long rectangular (oblong shape) wooden bed/seat which was mentioned in a session on bural practices. We talked about the type of wood used in making the 7ársa, who made it etc. The meeting was not planned. Mr Asmamaw passed by the house of Mr. Ayyano Aro and invited us to visit his farm as well. Present during the recording were: researcher (Azeb), research assitants (Asmelash and Abboye), mr Asmamaw's wife and his three years old daughter. A friend of Asmamaw joined in half-way. The recording was done using Zoom 4Hn and a video recording was done simultaneously. | |
