Title:Measuring duration with speech analyzer
Abstract:

Many languages of the world have phonemic length in either vowels or consonants or both. In this article, I show how to use http://www.sil.org/computing/catalog/show_software.asp?id=57" target="blank">Speech Analyzer to physically measure length, give tips for the types of recordings needed for this, and just as importantly, how to interpret your measurements. A sample sound file is included.
