Description:The aim of this paper1 is to give a description of the system of noun classes in Bafanji (speakers call their language Chufie‟), a Nun language within Eastern Grassfields (Mbam-Nkam), whose ISO 639-3 language code is (bfj) (Lewis 2009). Situated on the Ndop Plain, it is spoken in the village of Bafanji, Balikumbat Subdivision, Ngoketunjia Division, North West Region, Cameroon, by about 18,000 people.
