Description: | Seven recordings made at the Nokvai³ pãa² (Morung), SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_JS_NokVaiMorung-01 to 05.mp4 and SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_GS_NokVaiMorung-01 and -02.mp4.(1) The first recording (SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_JS_NokVaiMorung-01) commences with some group discussion,at 1.37” the Jang¹vaan¹tai³ song begins and this was also recorded on mobile phone as SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_GS_NokVaiMorung-01.mp4, because the Google mobile has much better lighting in a dark place. This song is about the Oriya festival (o¹rẽ³). (2) The second is SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_JS_NokVaiMorung-02.mp4, which is called Jang¹vaan¹ gu. During the Oriya festival there is ritual performed, and after that, the sticks that are used are thrown away. (3) As SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_GS_NokVaiMorung-02.mp4 Inside the Nokvai Morung, log drum beating that would be done before throwing the stick in the previous recording; (4) SDM61-nnpkhn20230127_JS_NokVaiMorung-03. Playing the nyaam³ 'gong' by Mr Lapbauq Bauqam¹; there were two types of beating, the first one, single beats, is used when selling the gong; at 0'31" it is the beats when someone dies and and the 0'50" later one with three beats is used in the festival called taqsaa²van³.
