Description:Dickson explains the pronunciation of very short vowels (these may just be realisations of consonant clusters). He gives pronunciations of the minimal pairs “stone”/”pain” (both close to “ti”), “I threw”/”I planted” (both close to “tita”), and “water”/”father” (both close to “ai”). He gives the pronunciations of some words containing a sound close to “i” and explains which of the two different phonemes it is in every case. The item contains a video where Dickson pronounces the pair “stone”/”pain” and another video where he pronounces the pair “I threw”/”I planted". Language as given: Muno
