Description:Keeling catalog note: "The Temenganesh series ('Songs of the Seasons') are discussed in DuBois (1908a:105), and some are used in the Image Ceremony (ibid. 100-103). DuBois describes this song as follows: 'This song mentions the stars. When Ouiot was dying he talked about the east where he was to rise. The song mentions Nukulish and Yungarish, Antares and Altair. The eagles now fly. This is the month Townamal' (1908a: 121)." Distributed on California Indian Music Project, South region, tape 2, side A. Original cylinder 14-416. 180 speed.
