| Description: | It is the worship of the Cuwamang. Cuwamang is worshipped by special clans, namely, Tuprihang, Anada, Angbura. It is worshipped near the Budhahang and the Palawa. It has its own temporary altar, in which one calabash and one pair of banana leaf are needed. It was performed on the occasion of correction worship. It is worshipped with chanting the mundum by knowledgeable elders. Eggs are offered to it. It is a worship, which is related to water. Water is taken as the god in this worship. In the mythology of the Chintang, there was a person, whose name was Arihang. He had a son, whose name was Dhilungtang Kurinahang Pe?wahang and killed by his uncle in the river. After some years, Arihang got one son again, whose name was Rangtumpa and offspring of the Rangtupa worship water as the god. It is worshipped by the special clans called Tuprihang, Ananda, Angbura. | |
