Coverage:Australia
Yellow House in Minjilang.
Description:The informants explain the origins of WWII from a local perspective: The root cause is seen to be the intervention by missionaries, especially Len Kentish, who was captured and beheaded by the Japanese, in the sex trade between Japanese pearl fishermen and indigenous girls and women. This is also put forward as the reason why the church and its various missionary societies are no longer involved in administering Arnhem Land communities. The text is spoken in Iwaidja, with copious explanantions in English.
