		Missionary variety of Negerhollands.
		Originally carpenter. He came to herrnhut, home of the Moravian Brethren in 1731, and he came to St. Thomas in 1742, where he lived until his death in 1785 (Stein 1986). He had been a missionary in St. Thomas for about 40 years, and stated that he learnt Negerhollands from the creole people of St. Thomas, with who he had contact during the fourty years he was there.
