E.C. Greider, bishop of the Moravian Brethren, to D.C. Hesseling, author of a book on Negerhollands, published in 1905:
Basilectal Negerhollands, the speakers must be bilingual in English (Creole), though it is not known whether Negerhollands or English (Creole) is their dominant language.
