| Description: | *Introduction* CSLU: Stories V1.2 was developed by the Center for Spoken Language Understanding (CSLU) and contains 9.25 hours of extemporaneous telephone speech in English, as well as transcriptions and phonetic labelling of the recorded speech. The corpus was collected in the CSLU Multilanguage Telephone Speech data collection. Each speaker was asked to speak on a topic of his or her choice for one minute. Those utterances are collected in the Stories corpus. *Data* The Stories corpus comprises: * Speech files for the 702 calls (.wav) * Time-aligned word level transcriptions (and corresponding comment files) for approximately 322 stories (found in the "labels" directory with the extension .wrd) * Word transcriptions (not time aligned) for 702 stories (.txt) * Time-aligned phonetic labels for 210 stories (found in the "labels" directory with the extension .ptlola) and 702 stories that are products of automatic force alignment (found in the "labels" directory with the extension .phn) The calls were recorded from an analog line using a Gradient Technologies analog-to-digital conversion box. The .wav file format used is 16-bit linearly encoded RIFF standard. *Samples* For an example of the data in this corpus, please listen to this audio sample (WAV). *Updates* None at this time. | |
