Description: | FG02 talks about: his trade as a stone mason, now retired, and describes the different types of rock; the trade and various quarries, small and large, and gives some location descriptions/directions. He leaves the room first to fetch his spectacles and later on (18 mins in) to fetch a photo album with pictures of Barry Jones’ house being built (1956) at Le Catrioroc above Perelle (house with tower). He names the workmen in the photographs. Towards the end of recording he talks about collecting sand and gravel from the beach with a bucket and sack, and finally describes a picture taken of men in a quarry with a drill. JG05 enters the room at the end the recording suspended. | |
