Description:		LLP01 talks about: people’s nicknames and someone who had a very small dinghy to go out to his small fishing boat, also who lived in a cottage that often flooded at high tide; fishermen, limpets, ormers (haliotis tuberculata) and winkles (littorina littorea); what Germans ate during the Occupation, going hungry at the end of it; the name Blanc Bois; going shopping in the afternoon; younger people learning/speaking Guernesiais; people living at Les Blancs Bois who speak Guernesiais; its proximity to town, park etc (centre of island); flowers in bloom at Saumarez Park; having visited gardens in Torteval (Parish); age and birthday; being married for 61 years (Monday last) 29/04 was wedding anniversary; cricket wicket at KGV grounds; St. Saviour’s community centre; serving on St. Saviour’s Douzaine, bornéments, checking hedges and douits; his father who was on the Douzaine when the dam (St. Saviour's reservoir) was built and the valleys being flooded, various properties were lost and people who had to move house; building halted during the Occupation; Douzaine representative; moving the Douzaine to new community centre near St. Saviour’s church, parking problems at current Douzaine room at La Grand Rue, ownership of the buildings; two halfs to the parish (reservoir in the middle); Chambre de la Douzaine at Le Gron; procurer of the poor and giving out money, then vouchers for families that had fallen on hard times; a family that lived at Fort Richmond and vouchers for new boots that got wet, mother burnt/dried them in the range, taking money out of bank to hand out, short term financial help; being proposed and becoming constable, but being too young and not in a position to devote the time needed; the members of the Douzaine when he was serving; meeting SB01 at the hair dressers, and speaking Guernesiais; knowing HD01's brother from the Castel Douzaine because of the business of a house that is in both parishes and heirs wanted to sell (after WWII); checking that douits are clear and headroom (overhanging branches) in roads (with sticks); double decker bus from Town to Pleinmont, cutting back overhanging branches.
