0305-Possum and Dog Cut Each Other's Hair
Contributor:Leo Vanatsi
Coverage:Papua New Guinea
Date:2012-10-12
Description:Possum and Dog agreed to cut each other's hair. They went to a little lake where they used to wash. Dog cut Possum's hair first. He did a very good job, and Possum was very pleased when he looked at his reflection in the lake. Then Possum cut Dog's hair. He was careless and did a poor job. When Dog looked at his reflection in the lake, he became angry. As Possum ran away, Dog caught him by the tail. Possum pulled and pulled and managed to get free, but Dog's teeth tore all the hair from his tail. This is why today Possum's tail has no hair.
