Contributor:Leo Vanatsi
Coverage:Papua New Guinea
Date:2012-10-08
Description:Leo talks about two words that are not used nowadays. The first is /vavaka/, which mean 'to cut hair' or 'groom', for example if one were preparing to go to church or to a /pivu/ celebration. People now use the word /kotsu/ to mean 'cut hair'. The second word Leo talks about is /oro/, which describes hair that has not been cut for a long time and has grown very big.
