Description: | A brother and sister went into the bush to collect a plant called "atsio". Having found some "atsio", they came to a settlement inhabited by two devils - a husband and wife. The husband was To Oromarina, but he had gone into the bush when the brother and sister arrived. His wife warned them that To Oromarina would kill them. She told them that she would hide them under some rubbish, so that To Oromarina would not eat them. To Oromarina came home and smelt the brother and sister. His wife told him the smell was coming from some bones she had thrown in the rubbish. She fed him and he went to sleep. The next day he went back into the bush. His wife told the brother and sister to hurry home, lest To Oromarina find them and kill them. When they got home, their parents cut their hair and rubbed oil on their bodies. Nonetheless, To Oromarina found them and killed them. | |
