| Description: | A woman went to the forest to harvest guinea grass and gave birth to twins. She could not carry both and asked the children to argue for her to choose. The girl said she will grow and marry and her husband will be giving her things to eat. The boy on his part said the girl will not be at home to look after her but he will be in the house to farm for her and provide food. Without hesitating the woman threw the girl away and went off with the boy to the house. Dwarfs came to the forests and saw the girl and picked her up to look after her. The girl grew up and one day the young lady was at the river side to fetch water and her mother returned to the forest as usual and asked for water to drink. The girl gave her the water and asked her whether she cared about her when she left her in the forest. The mother stood there stupefied and apologised. She showed her mother her house and the mother returned in a few days time. After the dwarfs had left the house, the girl escaped with her mother and went home. | |
