| Description: | This recording was made at a wake keeping the night before the funeral of Geoffrey Adjabeng, a clan leader. The men gathered at one of the meeting places in the village and spent the night giving speeches, singing and drinking. This event was recorded by Sammy. No outside observer was present. In this recording, Kofi Adjabeng comes in late, explains why and is then greeted. This recording has not been transcribed or translated. Kofi Adjabeng came late to the wake keeping and explained why, Tsiami Atsu Ganusah greets and welcomes him. Only Avatime is spoken on this recording. Atsu Ganusah and Kofi Adjabeng are both at the wake keeping and each talks before an audience of men that are also present. Sammy is part of the audience and records. | |
