Description:This recording was made at a wake keeping the night before the funeral of Geoffrey Adjabeng, a clan leader. The men gathered at one of the meeting places in the village and spent the night giving speeches, singing and drinking. This event was recorded by Sammy. No outside observer was present. In this recording Samuel Kodjovi thanks all the people for coming to the wake keeping. This recording has been transcribed and translated by Fo Yao and Saskia and annotated in ELAN.
