A description and documentation of Avatime
Contributor:Grete Ebedi (Speaker/Signer)
Manfred Apati (Transcriber)
Mathias Mahunu (Interviewer)
Coverage:Ghana
Date:2008-11-20
Description:Mathias Mahunu and Rebecca Defina visited Grete Ebedi at her house in the afternoon and interviewed her about various topics. Her granddaughter was nearby behind the camera preparing fufu and she occasionally commented on what was being said. During the interview her husband came and sat next to her. This section has been cut out of the longer interview (it was near the end) and here Mathias asks her to explain how to get to Mt Gayie which is the mountain visible in front of Grete and behind the camera. Mathias asks Grete how to get to Mt Gayie, she describes two ways you can get there, using a lot of pointing to explain the route. She also tells how one of the ways is too difficult for children and they must use the other way. Both Mathias's question and Grete's response are given in Avatime. Mathias questions Grete. Grete responds.
