Description:This story tells of a man who goes hunting big spider monkeys with his son but perseveres in trying to kill a giant spider monkey which he cannot kill. This is no ordinary spider monkey but a forest spirit and that night when they sleep in the forest the monkey abducts the son who becomes used to living with the monkeys and even takes a monkey wife. One day when his family had forgotten that he had existed the monkey chief tells him to reestablish contact with his father and he does so and brings the father to visit him. The boy however is by now too used to being a spider monkey and does not return to his family. The father however keeps on returning to visit and eventually the other monkeys become angry and ensorcelled the man who later dies.
