Valentina Opnay
Coverage:Russian Federation
Date:2013-02-28
Description:Ambient audio for video, including set up and take down. Opnay (Kamme) is the younger woman sitting to far right. Valya Dedyk is on left. Ivan is in R and Larisa in L. Valya is sitting to right of Ivan and audible in his mic. Opnay (Kamme) enters later in the recording (about 20min?) and is standing/sitting over to the left, near Larisa. Tolya is silent. Ivan is very hard of hearing, but does not yell, so it is not clear how well he understood the point of the recording, and perhaps that is why he used so much Russian.
Works in Institute for Advanced Teacher Training, Palana. She was born in a yaranga on the tundra.
Volokha's mother-in-law.
