Description:Andrew Kain tells a story from Ninigo Island about a chinal from the sea that will pretend to be a fish and then possess you. Recorded underneath Andrew Kain and Hedwick Kolopen's house, with Andrew Kain and Hedwick Kolopen roughly facing away from Chopokoleheu, with the beach on their left and the bush on their right. Koro is an Oceanic (Austronesian) language spoken by several hundred people on Manus and Los Negros islands, approximately 200 miles off the north coast of the Papua New Guinea mainland. This documentation consists primarily of recorded narratives and conversations in the Papitalai dialect, spoken in Papitalai, Riu Riu, and Naringel villages.
