Description:The collection of Teleut folklore samples encompasses different genres of Teleut folklore, namely a legend about mythical warrior Shunu-Khaan, a fairy-tale about a merchant who wanted his sons to find a bride, a song of a hare and wind and an extract of the famous Siberian-Turkic epic song "Ak Kobok" ("The White Foam"). The samples were collected and published by the famous Turkologist William Radloff in 1866 in Cyrillic writing. They were translated into Russian with the help of Teleut speakers' community and should be useful for language learning and promoting native culture.
