Description:		Here is the house of Bemunali Qoddusi in Jowshaqan. He has been the brook-guard (jūpâ) of Jowshaqan in the old days. Jawad, Bemunali’s son invited me to take a video of his father, and I asked Mehdi Musapur to accompany us. In the old days, there was a spring that was shared between Jowshaqan and Kumu the upper village. Bemunali was the brook-guard of the spring brook. In a dispute between Jowshaqan and Kumu over the sharing water of the spring, his leg was broken with a shovel and he has been inactive and retired in his home for many years. In this video, Bemunali explains about the war between Jowshaqan and Kumu over water and how his leg was broken. Then, along with his wife Khanom Taj, they talk about their marriage and their personal life. At the end, Khanom Taj show us her old room which has many niches and was a carpet weaving workshop in the old days. equipment: Canon Legria HF G40 camcorder, Rode NTG-2 microphone
