Documentation and description of Vamale, an endangered language of New Caledonia

Description:Jimmy says that the sea has risen, stones that used to be on dry land are now submerged, fish species have disappeared. Outrigger canoes were the norm in his youth, and bamboo rafts. But since the rafts broke often, line fishing was most common, and cast net fishing.
Jimmy Ceu is the chief of We Hava, but lives in Maïna. He is the successor of Kaina, less respected, and suffers from it. He never asked to be chief, but his clan is the traditional owner of the chieftaincy and thus put him in charge.
