This is a very popula folkstory widely spread in Southwestern China. This story is about two little girls abandoned by their family during the famine. The elder one is less smart and is eaten by the with of nettle; while the younger one survives and finally becomes wealthy.
Transcribed, translated and annotated by Lü Shanshan; recorded by Wang Jian and Lü Shanshan; narrated by Ms. Li Maomao, a Caijia native speaker.
