Description:This is a narrative audio and video recording in which Papir Tapoka tells a story about a funny misunderstanding between the Abom and Erarmon people. In the story, a man finds Buni fruit in the woods. He calls out, but the Erarmon people think that he has found a goanna lizard, based on the similarity of the words. As a result, they come with their bows and knives. When they arrive, they realize what has happened, and everyone has a good laugh before going home with the fruit. The recording was made at the elementary school in Tapila. Transcription, translation, and discussion of individual word glosses were done by hand in a field notebook, and later entered into ELAN.
