| Description: | While the Weygke Néten continues to the left of the camera, a group of women performs the Yánmána dance and song, traditionally performed at a girl's coming of age ceremony. The women use long sticks adorned with deer hooves as instruments to accompany the improvised singing which is similar in style to the other song types seen in this deposit, in that a lead singer carries a melody which the other singers follow along to. | |
| This continuation of The Enxet Documentation Project begun in 2016. This documentary corpus includes monologues, conversations, singing, and elicitation work along with videos of Enxet Sur people engaged in traditional cultural and economic activities. | ||
| This is a video of a singing/dancing performance, along with the conversations and dialogue which fill the gaps between the music. | ||
| The women singing and dancing in this video were visitors from the neighbouring community of Paz del Chaco, which is majority Enlhet Norte. I was asked to film them by the hosts of the festival, but was unable to get their names. Because they were visitors, none of my consultants in El Estribo were able to identify them by name from the video afterwards. | ||
