Description:One of the custom of Jowshaqan was a ceremony called Quc o pâjan (ram and billy-goat). In the old days, one day at the beginning of December herdsman left the ram and goat among the herds to prevent lambs and kids to be born early in winter. At the ceremony, they celebrated and prepare dishes and Halva cookies, and they poured seeds of wheat and barley on the sheep and goats, and pounding big and juicy pomegranates into the horns of the ram and leave them out among the herds. They were hopeful that their sheep and goats will be added to the number of wheat and barley seeds. Then they separated the rams and billy-goats from the flock in the rest of the year. In this audio recording Hasan Simorgh describes this old tradition in Jowshaqani culture. equipment: Zoom H6 voice recorder, Zoom SSH-6 external microphone
