Description:A carpet maker who now lives in Kathmandu talks about his international carpet business and the Kaike cultural society.
Originally from Gumbatara. Mother from Sahartara. Grew up speaking Kaike and Tichurong (Poike Tibetan) in Dolpa. Speaks Kaike on a daily basis, but uses Nepali and English for his trekking business and for his studies. Has done research on Kaike rituals. First recorded on 10 Dec 2017.
From Sahartara. Business man who grew up in Sahartara, but moved to Kathmandu to work in his father's company selling handmade ecological carpets worldwide now. Always speaks Kaike at home, but Nepali elsewhere in Kathmandu. Chair of the Kaike cultural preservation society. First recorded on 10 Dec 2017.
