Description:Ayyele Kamaado whistles several work songs and plays three shepherd songs on his biilim, a small flute that is made from the neck of a gourd (or, with other musicians, from bamboo). The two whistled songs are repeated several times: the whistled song on file 001 corresponds to the one on file 006 and 008, the whistled song on file 002 corresponds to the one on file 007. The later version were considered better than the earlier versions. The shepherd songs played on the biilim are found in file 004, 005 and 009.
Ayyele lives in Saattsa and plays the biilim-flute, a photograph of which can be found in file HPIM5033.jpg
