Description:Allayo performs three different lyre songs: 1. Dogad ('civet cat'), 2. Sabano and 3. Woysa. The dogad-song is performed three times (file 001, file 003 and file 004), the last version is considered the best by the musician. The dogad-song is a narrative accompanied on the lyre. The last song (file 005) is performed in the Gayl (Galila Aari) language.
Allayo is Messele Lipaato's cousin and Lanc'o Lodo's son.
Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
