Description:Addafiro Wotto performs small songs that are played when children watch the cattle, the first one on the biilim-flute, second on the puulla-flute. The biilim is a flute that is either made from a small piece of bamboo or from the neck of a gourd. The puulla-flute is a flute made from a bigger piece of bamboo (see the photo linked to this session). Both flutes are played sideways.
Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
