Description:Mahane Dohanbaabo, a musician living in Gazda, performs the gel'o rhythm on the lyre with only minimal accompanying lyrics in order to teach viewers of the recording to identify this rhythm in other song performances.
Mahane is a potter and a musician playing the lyre and the woysa-flute. Mahane is Tal'ane Abusho's cousin, Masarat Dohanbaabo's younger sister and K'oyaaso Maammo's wife.
Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
