Description:		When I first came to this area, there was no plantains. We ate only palm, and we didn't have salt either. We collected honey and used it as salt. There was no road and the village of Rurre only had two small houses. We walked two days to go buy "chijchi" salt. There were no'carayanas' (Andean settlers), our clothes were made from corocho bark and there were many animals. The first people living in this community were Carmelo and me. There is a direct road to San Borja. To get there takes three days.
