Description:Elias tells that the government requested approval for settlers in 1996. The Sheko said yes because having a village and a market has advantages. The Sheko gave them food and all lived together. The number of settlers grew but it was peaceful for some ten years. But then they raised quarreling and land claims, and when a settler shed blood, the Sheko started thinking they would have been better off remaining alone in the forest. Recently even more settlers came and that was not good. Some Sheko think the settlers want to take over their lands and they are unhappy with this big influx.
