Description:Occasionally a chief sit in counsel with his subjects to delibrate on issues of concern to the group. The heirarchy of chieftaincy goes from clan chief, town chief, up to paramount chief. In this case, a clan chief sat with his clan members to discuss about the family whose member will succeed him after death to avoid confusion. chieftaincy rotates from family to family and in most cases there is conflict when a family refuses to respect the rotational process laid down for ages.
