The pre-initiates appear briefly and dance through the crowd to wild cheering to encourage them to be have courage. They appear from the elder's home where the muthirinik (initiated trainers) give them the sinendet to carry around their necks. This signifies their acceptance of responsibility as potential adults and the future promoters of the culture.
