Description:The suo dance is a general dance involving the entire range of community memmbers. It is perfromed a day to the circumcision as the first dance. The beating of the menjethi starts early by midday to attract people to the arena. The people dance around the group of middle-aged men beating the menjethi and the men lead the song while the rest, including women and children, join in the chorus. The mood and tone of the songs is sombre and the dance moves are rather slow and gracious.
