Description:Chief Nason Haidu is telling the story of the place and village called Popoheo. Before it became a village, the place was known for its shores, which were very favourable to landing. It is the place where the first European traders landed on Blanga territory and thus the place where the locals first saw people wearing clothes. Hence, the name Popoheo, which come from the Blanga word pohe 'calico', 'cloth'.
